If you’re new here (Welcome!), odds are you’re probably asking yourself, “What the heck is this site?” Okay, maybe you’re not, but I still want to introduce the site in a somewhat official manner. My name is Jeff Moeller, and I’ve created this website so when people Google search my name, something impressive-looking comes up. Well, that’s only partially the reason. I created this blog to help me achieve my goals and to hopefully motivate you to do the same. I haven’t really carved out a niche for this site and so far anything is fair game. As the site matures it may go down a more certain path. In addition to the blog, I wanted somewhere to show off my portfolio to give me an edge in the job search.

Ultimately, this site will tell the tale of how I changed the world. The exciting part is that it’s being written right now. While I don’t have any typical world-changer qualifications like traveling to foreign countries or having 1 million Twitter followers, I’m hoping to gain a few as I go along.

Here is what there is to know about me:

  • I’m a recent graduate of Grand Valley State University
  • I’m an Eagle Scout
  • I have been involved in running websites and online businesses since I was 15

Here are things that I’m hoping to change soon:

  • I have never been outside of the U.S.
  • I have no job since graduating college

When it comes to a job, I don’t want to be doing anything I won’t enjoy. Some people see this as naive and tell me that I have to take what’s available, but why? “Because the economy,” or “you won’t get your dream job right out of college”. To me these are just examples of reinforcing the status quo. I want a job that both supports me financially and is fulfilling. I’m not against the idea of having a “real job”, but it has to be something I don’t dread doing. So to this end, I have been a bit selective on where I send out my application. I will be expanding upon this topic more in the future.

So now that you know a little about me and this website, feel free to browse around and read what else I’ve written. If you have any questions for me, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or post a comment below.
