Chalk Up Another Site To Visit

That would be LucasNews, a site I launched to coincide with the release of Tales of Monkey Island this past week. It will be covering all forms of LucasArts news so if you’re like me and am a big LucasArts fan of both their old and (some) new games, definitely add this one to your list of gaming news sites.

Tales From E3

You may have already seen this as it has been posted on Mojo for a little while now, but I did an E3 writeup basically covering everything I saw at LucasArts. Check it out at Mixnmojo.

Games I got to see at E3:

  • The Beatles: Rock Band
  • Tales of Monkey Island
  • The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition
  • The Old Republic
  • LEGO Indiana Jones 2
  • Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
  • Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron
  • Alpha Protocol
  • Left 4 Dead 2
  • Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
  • Mass Effect 2
  • Dragon Age: Origins
  • Brutal Legend
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction
  • Red Steel 2
  • Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
  • Dead Space Extraction
  • New Super Mario Bros. Wii
  • The Conduit

And perhaps more that I am forgetting. Also, check out the latest LucasCast if you have not already where we talk more about this stuff. There, I am done with E3 posts for good.

Chris Avellone at Framework 09

Chris Avellone, maybe best known for his work on Fallout 2 and also the designer of some of my favorite games including Knights of the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2, delivered a presentation at Framework 09 in Australia recently on topics in game design like the changing needs of today’s gamers and the importance of story. The presentation is quite long and well worth a watch if you admire Chris as much as I do. Check it out below.

More Videos From E3 2009

Here’s some more videos I took at E3 this year. Forgive the shaky cam! At least they are in HD.

Hit the break for a lot more. (more…)

Playing The Beatles: Rock Band at E3

Here’s a video of me playing Get Back on The Beatles: Rock Band at E3 this year. Can’t wait for that game!
